Guest Book
Linda and Jeanne, this weekend's parties were a BLAST! We all know that you two worked hard to get everything just right, from the Island Casual party to the Big Event, where you even had our senior pix, for all to see, in our yester-year glory. Let's NOT wait until our 50th reunion to get together again.
Oh, my-forty years just fell away (but not too far away) as I reunited with so many friends. Now I regret that this was my first time. Special kudos to Jeanne, Linda, and the rest of the committee who worked tirelessly to allow the rest of us to just saunter in and enjoy. Steve and Phyllis deserve extra special thanks for the everflowing food and spirits at the hospital room both nights. See all of you next time.
I wished I would have made this one. I know it would have been a blast after talking to Gary Rapier.
WHAT A WONDERFUL REUNION!!! Thanks to all of the organizers for all of their great work - it was just awesome to see everyone again!! Thanks again so much!!
Thanks to Jeanne, Eddie, Linda and anyone who helped put this reunion together. It really was the best. It is such a good feeling to reconnect with old friends. I'm looking forward til the next one. John Layton
It's wonderful that everyone had such a great time, I really wish my husband and I could have attended. I hope some pictures will be posted so those of us that could not attend can enjoy seeing everyone. I would love hearing from everyone. I am also looking forward to an opportunity to have another reunion soon. Everyone take care.
Great reunion - Thanks! Who was explaining 'Rightly Dividing' to me? Please get back to me at jehpe@earthlink.net - ernie
Jeanne, and Linda: This is no doubt the best reunion party I have ever attended. Thank you for putting your life on hold for six months, and making this party such a pleasureable experience. Oceans of Love, and kisses to both of you. Warm Personal Regards, Eddie Martin
Has anyone heard from GerryMcfadden?
Greetings fellow Texans and proverbial Woodstockers. What a long, strange trip it’s been. I’ve been in Seattle since 1974. Unfortunately I will not be able to join you for this gala event. Thanks, Jeanne, for contacting me about the reunion and to all of you who put the whole thing together, including the web site. One of the first pics I saw in the class photos was of 3 generations of one family. I thought that’s nice, that one of my classmates posted a picture of their kids and their parents. Then I realized that the grandparents were my ’67 classmates! Wow…..where has the time gone? Mr. Ferguson, wherever you are, thanks for that great math training---with slide rules no less! I hung onto those Algebra notes until a few months ago, foolishly thinking that my kids would use them. To my fellow tennis team members, hope your still strokin’ em in the over 55 leagues! See you at the 50th?
Shannon Smith, Nancy Stapp, and I are going to walk from Cole Park towards NAS, cheering the Beach to Bay Runners on to the finish line. Around 9:30 a. m. If you want to join us, let me know.
I've been in the Houston/Humble/Atascocita area since 1974. See you at the party. Annette
Hey everyone! Just got out of prison after 35 years. I really didn't mean to rob that Bank. They had to release me early because of my weigh problem, over 400 pounds. Darn!! I do have good news though, I finally get a clear title to my 64' Falcon. Just kidding!!!! HA! Can't wait to see all you youngsters and already looking forward to our 50th & 60th!! Gary
Awesome!!! I have enjoyed reading all of the messages and thinking of the Class of 1967! GO TEXANS! So many wonderful memories! Curtis and I are living in the Hill Country and will be celebrating our 35th anniversary this year. Our son lives in San Antonio and our daughter in Austin. No grandchildren yet but the baby calves keep us busy! I regret that we will be unable to attend the reunion but hope that we can be at the 45th....Have a BLAST! I will be thinking of you and all of the good times! Blessings! Kathy
No way !!!!!! How many years????? You guys are sure getting OLD........see ya there.
It's been a long time I live in Conroe Texas my Cell is 832-515-9564 call some time, see you soon!
Have lived in Houston virtually non-stop since graduation. Normal stuff - married, kids, etc. Will be there for the reunion on Saturday. Looking forward to visiting Corpus and catching up.
Thank you, Gary Rapier for getting ahold of me! I'm hoping to make the reunion. But I haven't noted many Mustangs in the guest book! I'm living out in the country west of Jourdanton, Texas. Still have some ties with CC, though. Those who remember me would truly be shocked to know that I taught for 10 years and have now been a junior high school counselor for 11 years. My grades and outlook on school make this quite an accomplishment!! Hope to hear from some old friends. My e-mail is ltiner@pisd.us
We are going to the Hooks Baseball Game, Thursday May 17 Seven O"Clock. Tickets are Ten Dollars each. Dinner before the game at Brewster Street Ice House close to the staduim. Let me know if you are coming with us, so I can buy the tickets. Eddie Martin
Golfers! Just a reminder that we are still in the process of getting a small golf tournament going for saturday morning, May 19th. Please contact Wayne Vann @ jwvann@navyarmyfcu.com or myself if you would like to sign up. We currently have around 12 players but would like to have more if possible. Thanks, Gary
Hello Texans. Wow.!!! Did you see how many of our classmates are gone? Way too many...didn't see my name on that list.....yet. I live at West Fork, Arkansas south of Fayetteville. Built an RV park here. Married for 30 years, one daughter...age 24. Would like to hear from old friends...especially band members. Let's do another reunion in 2017. I'll try to be there.
It's a bit frightening to realize how quickly time passes - 40 years was yesterday and a life time ago. I was at the 20th reunion to visit with Angela Hill. Enjoyed a party at Shannon Smith's mother's home. Wish I had learned of this reunion earlier so I could have arranged to be there. Like Angela, I hope there will be a 45th and I would enjoy being there. I am living in California - far from Texas, but hoping to retire to Albuquerque soon.
40 years is a long time but I'm really looking forward to this reunion and seeing my friends from 40 years ago and meeting new ones!
It's fun to read all the postings from classmates. Much has happened in the ensuing 40 years. If someone had told me back in '67 that I'd be living in Manhattan, I'd have thought they needed their head examined. But that's where I've been for the past 20 someodd years. I married a New Yorker, and though that didn't work out, I stayed in the City and it's home for now. One of my sisters lives in Austin, so I get to Texas once or twice a year. I plan to attend the reunion's Friday night cocktail party and am looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and doing some sightseeing in Corpus Christi. See you all soon! Michele Keesee
I am a graduated of Ray in 1969, if anyone knows of '69 grads, have them contact me. We are putting together an email list for our 40th reunion, which is just around the corner! Thanks Becky
I have not aged. Joe has. Looking forward to it.
have really looked forward to this event and now CAN;T GO! WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU ALL....HAVE LIVED IN NEW ORLEANS FOR THE LAST 32 YEARS...STILL DOING TV NEWS...MARRIED AND HAPPY. HAVE A BALL AND I'LL BE THERE IN SPIRIT. LET'S THINK ABOUT A "45TH"
Hello to all! I'm sick because won't be able to make the reunion. It's up to the rest of you to party for me. I'll be in the New Mexico mountains sitting in front of a roaring fire to stay warm. We are living in Big D. Still married to the WILD Kenny Wright (38 years) with two grown children (33 & 35) and two grandchildren. Thanks for the great website and a chance to keep in touch.
howdy everyone from florida. look forward to seeing yall and sharing some love. hal
Best wishes everybody! I've been in FL since graduating, & would like to hear from you...
I graduated mid-tern after only one semester at Ray, didn't get to know a lot of you but email me if you knew me forty years ago and we can share some memories of yore.
Thanks for keeping me on the list, even though I didn't graduate from Ray. I went to Wilson and Hamlin with so many of you and then on to IWA. I would love to attend the reunion, but my husband and I will be attending our daughter's 30th birthday party on the 19th. Best wishes and greetings to all of you. I will definately be at the next reunion. Vicki
Forty Years! Seems like it was just yesterday. I have just retired from CCISD after 35 years. My wife Yolanda also retired after 25 years. I spent 12 years teaching and coaching at Ray High School. Looking forward to seeing all my friends especially my football team mates. SEMPER FI!
I have not seen or heard from any friends from High School in over 25 years. I miss friends that go all the way back Parkdale Elementary and Frazier Elementary. Came to Fort Worth December 1981 to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. My wife, Kay (Mary Carroll High 1972), have two children one son born in Corpus 1979 and the other daughter in Fort Worth in 1986. I am now a career seminry staffer in charge of the Telecommunications & Automated Controls Systems. I have a small side business as a computer consultant (Higher Power Enterprises). I spent 30 years in Corpus until 1981. I have served as a pastor and men's minister through PromiseKeepers. I now "pastor" young ministers here at Southwestern. God's calling in my life has never failed and is my goal to follow...
I was very excited to receive the 40th reunion information. I would love to be able to attend but as I live in Saudi Arabia and my leave time will not allow. I will be very disappointed to miss this reunion. I would very much like to have attendance list.
Where have all the years gone? It is just so hard to believe that I am almost 58 years old. So much has happened. I have had 6 children. 5 boys and 1 girl. My daughter Tina was born in 1968 and murdered in 1986. My boys are 18, 20, 29, 31 & 36. Jon lives in Alaska and has two little boys, Kyle is a freshman in college in Florida, Shane is a sophomore at USC in Los Angeles, Ben is a welder here in Washington and Michael is a para legal here in Washington. I can't wait to see everyone from King High School!
Hi, Everyone! I can't believe we're all about to be 60 soon. I'm in Hawaii, building a house (I do that now) but I usually live just outside New York City. I wonder if any of you really remember who I am. I read your comments and marvel at how many of you are still in touch with each other. I left Ray before I graduated in 1967 and have always had this sense of not fitting in there, but maybe at this point, we've all grown up enough that none of us fit in there! I wish I could make it to Corpus for the reunion, but my newest granddaughter is planning to be born that week, so I'll be in Savannah, where my son and his wife live. If there is anyone out there who knows who I am or remembers anything about me, email me and jog my memory. I'd love to catch up! Aloha! Nancy email: lavatreenancy@hotmail.com
Does anyone have information on Mike Jennell? Please email at jehpe@earthlink.net ernie
Hi everyone! Boy, are we old!!! Sorry that I can't make the reunion...know it'll be a blast!!!!! Take good care and hope to see you eventually...maybe at the 50th!
Unfortunately I will be unable to attend, I will be in Paris, FRANCE. Dance one for me & CHEERS to You ALL!!!!
Please don't forget the Houston "Warm-Up" Reunion, March 22, 2007 at the Post Oak Grill in Houston. We will meet From 5-11:00. Dinner Buffet will be provided, cash bar. Please come by. Eddie Martin
So good to read your remarks and remember the good times. I'm living near D.C. keeping an eye on George W. Rock on class of '67!!
Thanks Terry F. for the heads up on the reunion. I only attended King for one year 1965-1966, but look back on it as a great year with many good friends. Now in NC, retired from teaching, and having a grand time.
We sure appreciate this site! Several friends have e-mailed replies to my first message. Thanks!
I did some substitute teaching at Ray a few years ago and just enjoyed being in the building again. On one day before a home football game the band marched down from the third floor to the gym for a pep rally. Go Ray Go! See you May 18-19.
Thanks,Ann, for contacting me on the much wished for reunion! Plan to be there. Live in Katy,Tx. Can't wait to see everyone again!!!
Linda--Fantastic job on the website. Jeanne--same to you for all the work you've done on finding everyone. Wish I could help. Great music today. See you in May.
I lost contact and was just wondering what has happened to everyone. Still have great memories even though I moved away and didn't graduate from Ray. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday...
Hey!!! Just reading your names instantly brings back smiling faces I haven't seen in so long. At King's 10th, I was the one with the youngest child. Will (20 soon) is in college on the coast, where he can fish to his heart's delight. I have been married to Ralph Smoot for two years and live in Bastrop. Planning to enjoy the reunion with you all.
Miss CC, but West Texas has been great for the past 23 years. Lubbock doesn't have much of a beach scene, however, the mountains of New Mexico are only 4 hours away and my wife, Susie (Midland) and our 2 girls spend as much time at the cabin as possible. Thanks for the time and effort it took to put this site together. Hope to be at the reunion. Todd
